Bundjalung Weavers and Delta Kay
Join Bundjalung Weavers and Delta Kay, proud Arakwal Bundjalung woman and Greens candidate for Byron Council for an afternoon of traditional weaving that will help restore the health of our waterways and support our campaign to elect Delta and your Byron Greens Council Team to Byron Shire Council.
With only 20 spots available, we encourage you to book quickly to avoid disappointment. Bring a hat, wear sturdy shoes, and don't be afraid to get your hands a little dirty as we weave together a stronger, more connected, and environmentally conscious community.
By participating in this workshop, you will learn traditional Bundjalung weaving, contribute to a community art installation, and plant native species to restore our waterways. You’ll also be supporting a vision for Byron's future. One where community-led responses to challenges like climate change and housing affordability are prioritised, and where the diverse lived experiences of our community guide our shire's direction.
This event is fully wheelchair accessible. Piccabeen Park is an accessible Space.
